Our clients are on the hunt for their next business partner in the form of a herd-owning sharemilker to join them for the upcoming season. The current sharemilker has had good experiences on the property and has given notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

The 70-hectare farm runs a moderate input operation with in-shed feeding through the 22ashb cowshed with a focus on pasture utilisation and strategic use of supplements. The 250-cow farm achieves an average production of 100,000kgMS, mainly from grass, maize and in-shed feeding meal blends.

The owners are looking for a sharemilker who will treat the property as if it is their own and are willing to grow their own business alongside their own. Therefore, communication is vital, coupled with a focus on the details which will see this farm perform at an excellent level.

The ideal applicant will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years dairy farming experience, and 1 year farm management experience

• Have excellent pasture management and feed planning knowledge

• Excel in animal health and husbandry

• Have a proven track record for tidiness and attention to detail

• Be self-motivated and have good communication skills

• Ensure all aspects of health and safety are managed

• Value the farm and maintain the property
